Before you visit

What types of massage does GONG Paris offer?+

A selection inspired by Thai and Asian traditions: traditional Thai massage, warm oils, foot massage, head massage, prenatal massage, sports recovery, infrared sauna rituals and gift cards.

How long does a session last?+

Treatments usually last from 30 to 120 minutes depending on the format. 60 or 90 minutes are recommended for deeper relaxation or targeted muscular work.

Should I book in advance?+

Yes, booking is recommended to secure your time slot, especially at weekends. You can book online or by phone.

Can I offer a massage as a gift?+

Yes. GONG gift cards can be used for eligible treatments and are a simple way to offer a quiet moment in Paris.

Where is GONG Paris located?+

Near the Eiffel Tower in the 15th arrondissement, at 5 rue Desaix. Access information is available on the Contact page.

Do you offer memberships?+

Yes. Memberships and loyalty options offer preferential rates for regular treatments. Ask at reception or contact us.

Should I bring specific clothing?+

No special outfit is required. Comfortable clothing is preferable for some treatments, and towels or disposable underwear are provided when needed.

02

During the treatment

Are massages suitable for athletes?+

Yes. The Special Running massage is designed for leg recovery, circulation and muscle soreness after effort.

Which oil do you use?+

By default, we use a neutral mineral oil, commonly used for professional massages thanks to its regular glide, stability and fragrance-free formula. It is chosen to suit the widest range of skin types. Natural almond oil is also available as a paid option on request.

Do you welcome couples?+

Yes. Duo massages are available by appointment, in a calm and harmonious atmosphere.

What is the difference between Thai massage and oil massage?+

Traditional Thai massage is performed without oil, on a futon or table, with pressure and stretches. Warm-oil massage is performed on a table with smoother, enveloping movements.

Do you welcome children?+

Duo parent-child massages may be possible by appointment from age 6, at the same price as an adult duo.

What should I do if the pressure feels too strong during the massage?+

Tell your therapist straight away. Pressure can always be adjusted during the treatment. A massage can be deep without becoming uncomfortable: your feedback helps us adapt the rhythm and intensity to your sensitivity on the day.

How can I get a massage that really matches my sensitivity?+

Everyone has different expectations: some guests enjoy deep pressure, while others prefer a softer approach. Each therapist also has her own technique, experience and way of reading your body during the treatment. The most important thing is to communicate at the beginning and during the session: tell us if you prefer stronger, softer, slower or more enveloping pressure. Your feedback helps adjust the massage to how you feel, instead of letting discomfort or disappointment build up.

03

After the treatment

Do you serve tea after the session?+

Filtered water is available for guests.

Is it normal to feel sore after a deep massage?+

Yes, this can happen after firm pressure, especially if you are not used to this type of treatment or if some areas were already sensitive. The sensation is usually temporary. GONG massages are wellbeing treatments and do not replace medical advice.

Can a small bruise appear after a massage?+

Some people mark more easily than others. After firm pressure, a small superficial mark may occasionally appear on a sensitive area. This is not the intended effect. If you know your skin marks easily, please mention it before the treatment so the pressure can be adjusted.

Why can some areas feel more sensitive after the treatment?+

How you feel can vary depending on fatigue, stress, recent physical activity and individual sensitivity. An area can be more reactive on a given day. If unusual discomfort persists or gets worse, seek medical advice.

When should I seek medical advice after a massage?+

If pain is strong or gets worse, if a mark is significant, if an area becomes swollen, hot or very red, or if symptoms persist, it is best to seek medical advice.

Leave lighter than when you arrived, the body released and the mind at ease.
